  Mally is always welcoming, and her food is outstanding. Fesenjoon and jeweled rice are particularly good, as is her olive-pomegranate tapenade.

  Wow what a gem of a place. Everything is delicious and fresh. I'm so happy my friend told me about this place. I have catered a couple of parties with the restaurant and the owner did not disappoint me at all. She even went out of her way to wrap the dishes separately for me since I was taking the food to Richmond with me.
  Please don't miss out on this delicious, healthy place.

  The authentic saffron ice cream and baklava ALONE are worthy of driving an hour to visit this place. Add the world-class jeweled rice and only-on-Thursdays-lamb-shank and this is one of the best takeout restaurants in the country. And that's just four items!
  
  Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices too. Healthy food.
  
  The owner is the chef and It's clear she loves people and cooking for them.
  
  Seriously folks, the saffron ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever had. The second best ice cream I have ever had was at an extremely well-regarded Persian restaurant in Toronto. The third was in Ottawa. The fourth was at Amy's in Austin, TX (Mexican vanilla).
  
  The lamb shank--dear Lord. I think it's only available on Thursdays. If you're like me and didn't grow up eating much lamb, this place will redefine it for you. It's like a lamb master reset switch. None of the gamey flavor you grew up with. The sauce is phenomenal.
  
  Feel these words--no one does rice like the Persians. I don't know why or how, but you simply cannot beat this rice anywhere.
