  The big negative here is the wait. My suggestion is to expect the wait, and power through it, because the food is the best seafood I've ever had that's not right on the water. The wait is long because they only take your order when they're ready to cook it, so you don't wait long once you place your order.
  
  There's very little flash to the food here--it's all substance. Fried fish on a roll, doesn't sound like the most unique dish--there's no wordy menu description. But when each step in the process is executed so well, you'll understand exactly how good fried fish on a roll can be. The owner makes sure you're only getting what's fresh that day, and the coating he uses is nicely seasoned without it becoming all about the spices. I didn't try the hush-honeys or any of the sides, and truthfully the sandwich was plenty for me--he really piled on the snapper.
  
  To me this is the perfect kind of restaurant--super casual, with awesome food. No flash, all substance.
