  Thai cafe is about as authentic as it gets. I lived a year in Thailand and get cravings for Thai food on a regular basis and this place really hits the spot. The curries and soups are outstanding and the pad see ew is exactly how you'd get it from a street stall in Bangkok (just in bigger portions!).

  Every time I go to dine there, I'm met with wonderful food, wonderful service, and a fun dressy yet casual feel. If you are new to Durham, you should definitely give it a try!

  Love Thai Cafe! Have been here numerous times and have liked each thing I've gotten - Phad Thai, Massaman Curry, Pork Pad Prik, Pad See Ew, Calamari, Spring Rolls, Satay. Their meat cuts are lean, spices are very flavorful. Dinner portions are plentiful and lunch specials are a good value. Their desserts are great also - coconut cake and mango sticky rice. Lots of seating, easy parking. Staff is polite and service is quick. Definitely recommend.

  The food is delicious and the service great. But there are a few reasons it doesn't get 5 stars.
  
  First, it's danged pricey for what you're getting. Expect $30+ for one person, and that's not including alcohol!
  
  Second, the food while always tasty is also inconsistent. Especially in terms of spice levels!
  
  And last it's just plain noisy. You can hear the conversation from every table nearby.
