  Stopped by to get a hot meal and go home. Everything was bad except for the service. One thing after another. The staff members were friendly. But as far as food wise, the grits were cold the second batch was runny and the sweet tea was sour and unsweetened. It literally taste as if they sprinkled one pack of sugar in the entire container. Not to mention the tables were all dirty and cups were filthy. I stuck my finger in the inside of it and whatever black substance was in it just smeared all over the cup. Like how can that be when there was not a single customer in the entire restaurant. I should not have been able to witness that mess. Was not a comfortable setting at all. Asked for a to go lemonade and the guy put so much ice in it that I couldn't insert the straw. I then asked to just not be charged for a drink since I had issues getting a decent one too so instead of just taking it off another employee asked what was wing with it... Slight hassle. Surprisingly though I didn't find any hair in my food.

  Good waffle house, but this is still a waffle house. The manager seemed very organized. Our waitress wasn't sure about substitutions on the $5 menu and diligently made sure that we knew the final cost (which is much appreciated!). It's a good super late night option!
